WHY HAVE FLOOD CONTROL SYSTEMS?
Water coming from a floor drain should be handled using drain tile. Using a flood control system is how water bubbling up from a drain in the middle of the floor is fixed. These systems are installed outside of the home, most often in the front yard a concrete basin is installed over your sewer. When heavy down pours of rain, pressure from the sewer system pushes sewage and water back toward your home. The check valves are closed, stopping the water flow.
